FOR/GGR 525: GIS LABORATORY SYLLABUS

All lab exercises are available on-line at: www.geog.nau.edu/courses/sa26/for525/   and may be downloaded and printed. Students are expected to complete lab exercises weekly during the lab period. Some lessons may require time outside of lab and must be completed within the week.

Attendance is mandatory and worth 25% of lab grade,.

The Flow Chart is due the 10th week at the end of your lab session, and is worth 25% of lab grade.

The Final Model is due the 15th week week at the end of your lab session, and is worth 50% of lab grade. The final model is graded first by the lab TA.

Your final grade for the lab will be given to Dr. Arundel and will become 50% of the total grade, which she will assign, after reviewing the final model grades.

6 GIS Analysis: Overlaying and Combining Coverage Features: Ex. 8; Model: Choose Data Layers (for Flowchart)
7 Model: Begin Assembling Data Layers
8 Model: Continue Assembling Data Layers
9 Model: Continue Assembling Data Layers
10 Model: Flow Chart due by end of your lab period; Begin Writing your VBA program
