Abstract & Registration

  • 1 June 2013 : Abstract Due (see Abstracts)

  • 15 July 2013: Notification of Abstract Acceptance

  • 16 July 2013: Regular Registration Due (see Registration)

  • 1 Aug. 2013: Late Registration Fee Starts (there will be no onsite registration)


Pre-Conference Field Trip (optional) (see Registration)

  • 16 Sept. 2013 - Pre-confererence field trip registration due

  • 17 Sept. (Tue) - Field trip participants arrive Urumqi

  • 18 Sept. (Wed) - Urumqi area technical bus tour

  • 19 Sept. (Thu) - Urumqi to Kanas N.P. by bus


Conference Schedule

  • 19 Sept (Thu) - Arrive Kanas N.P., Hotel checkin

  • 20 Sept. (Fri) - Opening Day Sessions

  • 20 Sept. (Sat) - Conference Field Trip

  • 22 Sept. (Sun) - Closing Day Sessions

  • 23 Sept. (Mon) - Depart Kanas National Park - transportation to Kanas Airport (KJI)


Conference Special Events

The conference includes

  • A one-day technical field trip within Kanas National Park.


  • An optional  pre-conference field trip includes one day of technical visits to major sites in the Urumqi area and a bus trip from Urumqi to Kanas N.P. with some technical stops en route.


  • A conference banquet
