- Proposed Dept ANNUAL REVIEW Policy for Instructors
- Instructors are not eligible to vote for Faculty Status Committee
members. (Only tenured faculty can sit on FSC.)
- Instructors submit material for the Annual Review process, which
are evaluated by a subcommittee of the Annual Review Committees --
one representative from each ARC will sit on this committee. Instructors
do not sit on the Annual Review Committees. (Still required to do
an annual SOE, which must be evaluated. But they are not paid to take
on full ARC responsibilities -- should not be expected to take on
same service tasks as permanent faculty. Past experience has found
that having instructors on the ARCs has generated some conflict in
their not being tenure-eligible.)
- First Year Instructors - same process as other First Year Faculty
- submit a Faculty Retention Review packet to the Chair only in January.
- Personnel Action Calendar
- Annual Review packet - to chair 9/29,
to ARC 10/3 (All, except Ray & Scott)

- Arts & Sciences Display Case
- Case Dimensions: "The case measures 7 1/2' across, 4 1/2' high,
and about 18" deep. It has two florescent lights which makes
them nice and bright. There are locks on the windows, so they are
secure as well. The florescent lights tend to bleach out construction
paper over time, making it fade."
- This is what you are all working on to get to me by this Friday:
- Powerpoint presentations (various folks) - get to me by Friday
and I will combine into a single, self-running presentation
- Examples of Student Project Work - PL (Carolyn & Dawn),
PRM423 (Chuck)
- GGR Field Trip Photo Board (Tom) and PRM Photo board (Judy)
- Backdrop Poster (Debbie & Alisa) - List of Degrees - List
of Jobs - Map to South Campus location
- Fabric covering (Dawn)
- Tools - planimeters, stereoscopes, GPS?, other - (Sam)
- I envision the two photo boards being about 2 feet
wide and about 4 feet high and going one on each side of the display
area. Tom and Judy should coordinate the size. If you are going to
be printing your photos from digital images, let me know as I have
lots of inkjet photo paper. In between would be the main backdrop
poster at about 5' wide with a large banner text across the top and
more detailed info below. In the middle, on a raised platform would
be the computer with PPT presentation running continuously. On the
bottom would be the tools.
