RTS Directory 1998 [Directory of the Association of American Geographers Specialty Group on Recreation, Tourism, and Sport (RTS)] The AAG listed 229 dues-paying RTS members as of April 2000.
On the TPC (topical proficiencies) line, RTS simply indicates membership in the AAG Specialty Group on Recreation, Tourism, and Sport. The subdiscipline of recreation geography is often called "RTS" or "RTS geography"; some people still refer to it as "recreational" geography, although this inappropriate moniker is is used less and less. Consult the Appendix for a listing of additional individuals with RTS-related research/teaching interests.
