** In addition to the scenic bearuty of the Grand Canyon, this field trip will
focus major development pressures in and around the National Park.
*** The Arboretum at Flagstaff
is the highest altitude research arboretum in the world, pioneering new plants
and cultivation techniques for high-altitude environments. The Arizona Nature
Conservancy purchases land for conservation management and education purposes.
A Hart Prairie participants
will be introduced to the Conservancy's ecosystem management practices and educational
outreach programs.

Dinner includes: Tossed salad, Baked potato, Sourdough biscuits with honey-butter,
beverage and choice of dessert.
The restaurant is Black Bart's Steakhouse and Saloon. They have singing waitresses
and waiters and a musical review.
If you wish to purchase additional dinners (for non-registered guests) the cost
will be US$25.00 each and must be ordered before Thursday morning at the conference
registration desk.

IMPORTANT: There will be another, probably much larger, conference in Flagstaff at about the same time as Sustaining Rural Environments. Because of this it is recommended that you make your travel arrangements early.
