CONFERENCE FEE

Early Registration: US $495

  • same due date as Pre-conference Three Gorges Cruise reservation

Regular Registration: US$ 525 - Due October 15, 2003
Late Registration: US$ 565 - Starting October 16, 2003

The registration fee is inclusive of:

  • Conference Registration
  • A single room in a 4-star hotel for four nights (November 27-30, 2003)
  • All the meals during the conference starting with a reception on November 27, and including the conference banquet
  • A one-day excursion on Nov. 29 to visit the Three Gorges Dam and to cruise a portion of the Yangtze River below the Dam
  • Transport from the Yichang airport on Nov.. 27 and to the airport on Dec. 1.
  • Conference program and proceedings

Spouse Rate: $200 - includes shared hotel room, meals, excursion and transportation

Student Rate: See Registration Form - includes all of the full registration fee offerings, except that the hotel room is shared in a two or three star hotel

The conference hotel is inside the Three Gorges Dam area. Individuals are allowed to go inside, but you must first register at the Tao Hua Ning Hotel, No 23 Yunji Road, Yichang.

PRE-CONFERENCE FIELD TRIP/CRUISE
- Nov. 25-27 (2 nights / 3 days) - Reservation Deadline is August 15, 2003
- $360 per person/double occupancy

The Cruise is optional. The cruises cover the portion of the Yangtze River from Chongqing to the new Three Gorges Dam - which is done in 2 nights departing from Chongqing. The conference is in Yichang, which is located 40km from the Three Gorges Dam. The cost for this optional cruises is $360 per person/double occupancy on a four-star reated cruise shipt. The dam is due to be completed in June 2003 and the reservoir will slowly fill over a six year period. While some inundation will have taken place by November, for most of the cruise the Gorges will still be visible in its pre-reservoir state. -- See the Conference Registration Form (below) for more information. Cruise participants may arrive on November 24th and spend the night on the cruise ship prior to departure on November 25th.

Post-conference cruises from Yichang to Chongqing can be arranged on an individual basis. These take three nights going upstream.


CONFERENCE EXCURSION
- November 29

A full-day field trip (included in the registration fee) will be held on Nov. 29 to tour the Three Gorges Dam and to cruise on a portion of the Yangtze River and the remaining Gorges below the dam.
