POST-CONFERENCE GUANGDONG PROVINCE FIELD TRIP

- July 11 to 14, 2007



HIGHLIGHTS

The conference site is in the homeland of many of China's Overseas Chinese diaspora population. The conference field trip will visit these village areas of rural Guangdong Province, as well as a very popular domestic nature tourism destination.

ITINERARY *

3 Days, 3 nights, all inclusive

11 July 2007 (Wed) - To Taishan and Kaiping, staying at Kaiping

12 July 2007 (Thu) - To Dinghu natural reserve in Zhaoqing, afternoon going to Shaoguan

13 July 2007 (Fri) - Visit Danxiashan geological park and Nanhua Temple; To Guangzhou (for international airport, or train to Hong Kong)

14 July 2007 (Sat) - Field trip participants depart Guangzhou

SOME DETAILS

  • Trip Length: 3 days and 3 nights
  • Trip Cost: US$210 per person, double occupancy
    • Cost is based on two persons sharing one room. Conference organizers will help to facilitate room sharing, but cannot guarantee that an appropriate roommate will be found. Please contact Alan Lew (alan.lew@nau.edu) to arrange this. If space is available, a single person may travel alone at at additional fee of US$90. Please contact Alan Lew if you wish to consider this.

  • Cost includes: all transportation, all meals, all group entrance fees
  • Payment: US$210 Registration and payment will be due June 1, 2007. Late registration may be possible on s a space-available basis, and will cost and extra US$50 per person.
  • Refund policy: Payments are fully refundable before June 1, 2007. A 75% refund will be given for cancellations made June 2 to 15; a 50% refund will be given for cancellations made June 16 to June 30. No refunds of any amount can be given after June 30, 2007.
  • Use the Conference REGISTRATION FORM to sign up for this field trip. Space is limited and registration will closed once it is filled.
  • You can also use the registration form to register for additional nights at the end of the trip at the conference hotel in Guangzhou after the field trip (US$40 single, US$60 double).
