to major issues and approaches in public planning.

to census and population data and its analysis and presentation related
to land use issues.
- PL 532 – GIS
for Planners (3) - This online class teaches planners how to
use geographic information systems for land and community analysis.
(Computer knowledge and skills are a prerequisite for this course,
along with permission from the instructor to register for it.)

Urban Transportation Planning (3) - Urban transportation
issues, modeling and planning. Cross-listed with CENE 543.

Recreation Facilities Planning (3) - Planning, design,
and operation of recreation facilities and adjoining areas. On-site

Capstone Experience
(3 semester units) - This is an internship or a defined project related
to Community Planning. (Completion and approval of the Capstone
Application must be done the semester prior to enrolling in the
Capstone.)
