October 6, 2001.  Standing on a Corner Festival.

A photo-op with the town's most famous statue.

Tammy and Josh, enjoying the festivities.

A local auction during the festival.  This NYPD (I think) T-shirt was being auctioned off to raise money for one of the relief efforts in New York City.  As I recall, the shirt finally sold for $50 to a local businessman, who then donated the shirt to the Standing on a Corner Park Committee.  This festival took place less than a month after the attacks of September 11, 2001.

In this case, the auction was coming to the people.  A baseball cap for sale.

Plaque dedicated to those local residents who contributed to making this urban park a reality.

Today the streets were auto-free, instead taken over by pedestrians and those in armchairs enjoying the local band.

A bit of patriotism walking by the bandstand.
