Monday, November 16 Celebrating 40 Years of Geography at NAU!!


Speaker: Dr. Tina Kennedy, Professor of Geography. Topic: “Re-Presenting” Northern India” from Dr. Kennedy’s sabbatical.  4:00 reception, 4:30-5:30 presentation. Room 204. Light refreshments will be provided.


Tuesday, November 17—6:30 PM SBS West Room 200

Movie night!  We will watch “The Risen Sun” -a kayaking film. Raffle tickets will be drawn for GPR prizes!  Don’t miss out on the chance to win these fabulous goodies! Free popcorn and soda! Sponsored by the PRM Club.


Wednesday, November 18  It’s GIS Day today!  Celebrate Geographic                                                         Information Systems!

Trivia contest due (take the quiz at Submit answers by email at or in Room 201 (Building 70) by noon!


3:30 pm Geocaching activity with Geography instructor Mark Manone.

Thursday, November 19 11:00 am– 3:00 pm

A day of sweets! Stop by the GPR foyer– outside Room 201– for cookies, candies and sweets! We all need a little sugar boost while celebrating Geography! 


Friday, November 20    9:00am—11:00am

GPR awards brunch. Join us for the announcement of the geography trivia contest winners!  Giveaways and raffles. Location:  the GPR foyer outside Room 201, (SBS West) Building 70.
