PL 506 - Additional Syllabus Instructions
PL 506 Students will undertake a Special Comprehensive Assignment to be determined
in consultation with Dr. Huang.
- This assignment will be discussed either in person (or by telephone if out
of town) in the second half of Septembers (between the 15th and 30th).
- The special assignment will be worth 100 points.
- This Special Assignment will be DUE - DECEMBER
15, 2004
GRADING for PL506 Students
- 650 points - Weekly Assignments & Review Assignments (13 x 50)
- 100 points - Final project
- 80 points - Discussion
- 70 points - Weekly Check-Ins (14 x 5)
- 100 points - Special Assignment
Total = 1000 points
Grading Breakdown on the 1000 points:
- To Receive an 'A' = Minimum 900 points (90%)
- To Receive a 'B' = Minimum 800 points (80%)
- To Receive a 'C' = Minimum 650 points (65%)
- To Receive a 'D' = Minimum 500 points (50%)
- Below 500 points (<50%) = ‘F’
The 'A' grade is intended for students who consistently submit work
that is both on time and superior to the majority of the rest of the class.
You need to demonstrate mastery of the subject matter through the quality
and thoughtfulness of your answers.
WARNING: Keep all of the work that you receive points for in this (and
all of your classes)! If there is ever a discrepancy between what I have recorded
and what you think you received, I will only change my record if you
have your original work.
